Dr. Steve Long Tran was born on January 4, 1957 in Saigon, South Vietnam. Dr. Tran escaped to Malaysia in 1977 where he resided in a refugee camp for six months. He immigrated to America and resided in San Francisco. He attended Concord College CA. He began training in Japanese Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Jujitsu,Tai chi and Kung Fu. In 1983, Dr.Tran relocated to New York taugh mixed martial arts until 1988. In 1989, he relocated back to San Jose, CA and taught mixed martial arts. Dr. Tran met Grand Master Dang who is Grand Master Universal Energy healing. He decided study UE. and relocated to St. Louis Mo. In 1992 he traveled Thailand, Laos, Combodia and Vietnam conducted more than 13 years research for the effectiveness of UE.

In 2005, COL Tran joined the United States Vietnamese American Volunteers Alliance. National Inspector General (IG) for USVAVA.

In 2008, he joined the United States National Defense Corps. COL Tran is the USNDC California Commander Division 105th and National Vietnamese Representative.

He is also an FBI INFRAGARD member in Sacramento, CA.
