BG Barry Keller, National Chief of StaffBG Keller began his military life at 13 as a Civil Air Patrol Cadet. Rose to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer. September of 1974, he entered the US Army as an PFC. Served 6 years active duty mostly in Germany, with an assignment to then West Berlin. Before leaving active duty, He obtained a BA in Business Administration and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant.
October of 1980 BG Keller served as a Deputy Constable in Salt Lake County , UT in 1986 was elected to the position of Constable. September of 1981 he continued his military service in the Utah State Guard where he was commissioned after completing the Army Pre Commission and OCS course. He served as Detachment Commander and later the State Recruiting Officer. Progressed to Major.
He relocated to Tennessee and served on brigade staff, in Communications and Operations and Training, with the Tennessee State Guard. Before being promoted to Colonel, he served as a Battalion Commander and State Recruiting Officer. He now resides in Las Vegas, NV.
For service to our nation, he has been honored by 4 governors and the US Senate majority leader. His awards include ; Life Time Presidential Volunteer Service Award , Expert Field Medical badge and Senior Air Crew Wings. Army NG Master Recruiter and the Master Military Emergency Management Specialist Badge (MEMS) as well as Laotian and Thailand Army Parachute Wings.
With over 25 years combined active Duty and State Guard time, he is proud to be of service to the USNDC and as Chief of Staff, will strive for member recognition to the fullest and professional Staff Development.
Other memberships include the American Legion, FBI Infra guard,Regional Director for Bugles Across America, Boy Scouts of America Unit Commissioner. USCG Aux, and Amateur Radio KE7KMD. Former Civil Air Patrol Lt. Colonel and Service Officer for Am Vets.
